Q&A - "Ask The Coach" - Managing My Time ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear "Ask The
Coach"
There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day. I think I have my day planned. Then all kinds of interruptions come along. The next thing I know, the day is over and I haven't finished one thing on my "to do" list. I work more hours than most people and still I can't seem to get ahead. What can I do to manage my time better? Can you recommend some good time management techniques? Signed "Not Enough Hours" Dear "Not Enough Hours" I suspect your real issue is a lack of focus on what's most important to you. My best time management technique - learn how to say "no" to people and distractions that aren't important. Then work (with a coach) on getting a clear picture of what success means to you. It's easier to put first things first when you have a clear sense of purpose and know what your priorities are. I help my clients with a time management process that enables them to invest each remaining day of their lives in activities that return the personal and professional rewards they desire. This process helps them overcome procrastination, effectively prioritize, and invest their time wisely. Give me a call and we can discuss this some more. Warm regards, Coach Richard (Send your questions to us. We do our best to answer those questions we feel reflect the interests of our readers) | |
